The worst days to drive over the holidays-

If you're heading over the river and through the woods to get to grandma's house, some days are better for driving then others.

GPS app WAZE analyzed data from the last few years to determine when driving is going to be the worst during the holidays. If your schedule is flexible, take these dates into account so you can avoid unnecessary traffic jams:

December 23rd: Make sure you are on the road before 11 a.m. if you need to travel, and absolutely avoid any driving between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. when rush hour and holiday shopping traffic collide.

December 24th: Traffic is steady all day, especially in the evenings thanks to last-minute shoppers.

December 31st: Not only is the Sunday after Christmas one of the worst driving days of the year, it's also New Year's Eve this year, which makes it one of the most dangerous days on the road. (Narcity)
