Getting ready for the FOX 6 News, shot...

Dressing as a flight attendant from the '60's, was not in the job description, but I must admit...it sure was fun!!

Wait, you want me to say WHAT??!

Somewhere in the world, you walk into a coffeehouse and you hear someone order, "Five coffees, please. Three pending.". They pay for their order, take two and leave.
What are pending coffees, you wonder?
More people come in. Someone asks for 3 coffees - two, "pending". Pays for all three, takes one and leaves.
What the heck are pending coffees! Right?
A beggar comes in and asks: 'Do you have a pending coffee?'
Get it? It's simple. People pay in advance for a coffee meant for someone who cannot afford it!
This tradition started in Naples, and it’s now spreading all over the world. Some places even allow you to order food!
Would you like this tradition to catch up here, in the, US?
Inside the brain of a woman, scary sometimes I know. We already know from just, well, living, that men and women do not think the same. But have you ever wondered what makes us tick the way that we do?
I just read a very interesting article titled: "Unlocking the Power of the Female Brain", by: Nicole Catanese. Nicole writes for one of my favorite blogs: Refinery29.com, and I wanted to share what she wrote w/you and see if you may agree.
These are two major emotions that the article explains women do much more of than men. The part of the brain in women that house these emotions are much more developed in women. Well, that just makes sense, doesn't it? Empathy - Yep, we feel your pain. We are pretty much able to read you and get inside your head and feel what you are feeling and we usually want to help you.
Worry - I honestly do know a woman that isn't what I like to call a, "worry-wart". Seriously, do you??

A new drug being developed using a compound found in red wine could help humans live until they are 150 years old.
Some of the findings:

This morning while skimming through my Allure magazine, I came across the below article claiming that the newest “it” hairstyle was the grunge look.
Don't get me wrong; when grunge WAS new, I was right there in the middle of it. "Borrowing" my Daddy's newest flannel shirts and cutting off the sleeves (to wear over my tanks); wearing the cutest baby doll dresses w/my Doc Martens (just found my old pair at my Mama’s house); stage diving at The Tabernacle in Atlanta when I had NO BUSINESS being there; should have been studying when instead I was watching the movie, "Singles" for the gazillionth time, etc… BUT(!!), the ONE thing I didn't embrace was the nasty grunge hair.
Yeah, thanks but no thanks. Grunge hair in the 90's equaled stinky, dirty hair.
My first reaction was, “Am I getting old?? Could THAT be the reason why I scoffed at the so-called new hairstyle? Nooooo, couldn’t be.”. That’s right about the time when the part of my brain that justifies almost anything by changing the situation into a
positive remembered this: Don’t be silly, of course it’s not! Remember, you didn’t like it THEN, so why in the world should you like it NOW? Whew, that was close. ; )
BTW, in case you’ve been under a rock, Soundgarden’s newest album, King Animal, (first one in 16 years, released back in Nov.) is fantabulous…and Chris Cornell is still looking rather fabulous as well.
Pearl Jam is to release their “experimental” album this year.
Alice in Chains is currently on tour minus, Layne Staley, obviously. Will they sound as good? Don’t know; guess Kevin and I will just have to go see for ourselves. ; )
Mudhoney releases their new album, Vanishing Point, April 2nd.
I could go on and on and on, when talking about this genre of music, but instead I think I need to stop blogging and get back on the air. If I don’t, I might not have a job, then I couldn’t afford shampoo and then I WOULD have the new “it” hairstyle. ~~shudders~~ ; )
Needed a laugh this morning, so I went looking for a few skits of, "Whose Line Is It Anyway?". (I've always loved this show, even watched it one of the BBC channels when it was filmed in London.) Found blooper reels; but, I can't post those, instead I'll post one of their: "Words that Sound Dirty, but Aren't" game.
I dare you not to laugh when they are given the words, "Ice Hole" and I double dog dare you not to laugh when they must do it in Spanish. I miss this show.
