This is the best sleep I've had in years. Love her so!
Getting ready for the FOX 6 News, shot...
Dressing as a flight attendant from the '60's, was not in the job description, but I must admit...it sure was fun!!
Wait, you want me to say WHAT??!
I know it's only January, but it's so cute not to plan ahead. The weird thing is, I'm soooooooo not a "cutesy" person - at all. I like this, in a this could go on our back door sort of decoration. It's made out of two round wreaths and a heart shaped one for ears. Easy enough, right?
(If you're looking for the, "BIG PEP TALK", video you may find in the post right below this post.)
ROLL TIDE ROLL
In honor of the BIG GAME tonight, thought I'd share a BIG pep talk.
In this scene from the submarine thriller, “Crimson Tide,” the sub commander played by Gene Hackman delivers a fiery pep talk to the crew aboard the U.S.S. Alabama. He reminds them they should be proud and honored to represent the people and the state of Alabama.
The crew responds in unison with a rowdy, “ROLL TIDE!!”.
"It gives me goose bumps.", the movie's screenwriter, Penn State graduate Michael Schiffer, said in a 1995 interview with The Birmingham News. "You don't have to know what it means to feel it."
The Alabama portion of Hackman’s pep talk begins at the 1:37 mark of this clip.
Is it, "Seven Swans A Swimmin' " or is it, "Seven Swans a SwimminG"?
This lady solves the puzzle w/only ONE LETTER!!
Keeping our children safe is always on the minds of parents everywhere. Some parents are opting for bullet shielding panels that slide easily into backpacks, but they may be too heavy for smaller students to carry. In the meantime, local schools are coming up with ways to keep your children safe when they go back to school in a few days.

Take a look back with me on some of the most memorable moments of 2012.
Say another little prayer for the families affected by the Sandy Hook School shooting last week. It is a horrible thing to loose a child, and all the worse during a time of the year that is so full of love and joy.
It saddens the staff of Magic 96 as parents that there are people willing to cause these families more grief. WERC's Leah Brandon released this report today following the tragedy.
Petition To Recognize Westboro Baptist Church As A Hate Group
Users of the White House's "We the People" digital petition platform have flooded the site in support of an effort to officially designate the Kansas-based Westboro Baptist Church as a hate group.
The petition was submitted on Dec. 14, the same day as the school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. The Westboro "church" responded to the shooting by announcing its intent to picket the funerals of the 26 victims, including 20 young children.
This plan made them a target of the hactivist group "Anonymous" and started a counter-protest to block the "church" from disrupting the services of 26 that were killed.
The individual push has since received the support of over 250,000 signees, making it the most popular single petition ever created through the White House initiative.
Find and sign the petition here.
It's the final weekend before Christmas and what's on TV? A bunch of Yuletide specials for the whole family to see:

"How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (Dec. 23, ABC Family, 9 p.m. ET/PT)
"Shrek the Halls" (Dec. 24, ABC, 8:30 p.m. ET/PT)
"A Christmas Story" (Dec. 24, TBS, 24-hour marathon beginning at midnight ET/PT)
"National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" (Dec. 25, ABC Family, 9 p.m. ET/PT)
I was teasing a friend of mine the other day because she bought a slow cooker on Black Friday and all she know how to make in it is chili and dips! Now there is NOTHING wrong with a good pot of chili but there are LOTS of recipes using slow cookers. The best part is tossing just a few ingredients in before work and dinner is ready when you return! PLUS there's only one pot to clean at the end instead of several pans.
